Yes the GoKart freewheels in the direction it drives, so forward. you could just trundle it in front of you.
September 19th, 2011 at 12:02 am
Is there a free wheel option if the battery should go during play?
September 18th, 2011 at 8:30 pm
yes, we have a showroom above the factory here at Canterbury – shout if you want directions. We’re here Monday to Friday 9-5 and don’t believe in lunch.
September 18th, 2011 at 7:59 pm
Can I collect from Canterbury?
September 15th, 2011 at 11:02 am
Hi Jason, yes you are going to be able to update your GK with the Automatic handle – we’ll email you with more news of this when we’re ready to offer this service to customers. Watch this space!
September 14th, 2011 at 7:49 pm
Hi,
Bought a GoKart a while ago and have been very happy with it, but have just seen your automatic version. Do you offer any sort of upgrade option?
Thanks.
September 14th, 2011 at 5:15 pm
Should the battery on the go kart be left on all the time or just after it has been used
September 10th, 2011 at 10:55 am
Hi Mark,
|We’ll let you know as soon as the GPS holder is ready, we’re working on it. Cross hill parking is the key here!
September 9th, 2011 at 11:05 pm
Hi, I have just bought a used Gokart and its great, but I have two problems. No brake, and nowhere to fit my skycaddie, are you near releasing a gps holder, and how do you stop the little blighter rolling away? Fab product and chuffed to bits with it.
September 9th, 2011 at 8:54 pm
The transit bag is only available in black and green at the moment.
September 9th, 2011 at 7:12 pm
Does the transit bag come in different colours ?
September 9th, 2011 at 10:00 am
A lithium battery and charger costs 240 plus 7.20 postage and packing. They’re good for 36 holes and guaranteed for two years.
September 9th, 2011 at 9:02 am
what is the price of a lithium battery 18 hole
September 6th, 2011 at 9:23 am
There is no brake to restrain the trolley going downhill, but as the trolley is light it’s certainly manageable in that situation.
September 5th, 2011 at 7:06 pm
Can you say me, if i go down hill houw the breaks works
September 3rd, 2011 at 10:51 pm
Shipping is generally pretty quick, wither the same working day or the day after (for standard GoKarts) We are however quoting 14 days for the Automatic.
September 2nd, 2011 at 7:55 pm
Hi, just wondered how close you are to releasing a gps/phone holder. I know phones are a no no on the course but i have an iphone 4 with an excellent golf gps app (just turn phone to silent so no probs). Also as you have now designed the new trolley will you be offering trade in’s for existing customers. Many thanks ian
September 1st, 2011 at 6:22 pm
Hi i am about to purchase the standard gokart and wondering about the time of shipping. How long is this going to be?
August 8th, 2011 at 11:11 pm
Hi Diana, yes, we have the bundle discount active at the moment – so €25 off if you buy two accessories. And being in Ireland doesn’t mean we won’t look after you. We take the same care of you as we do of customers on the doorstep. The only thing we can’t do is send you a loaner if your trolley is off the road. We have very good transport arrangements and are able to respond extremely quickly if you do need us.
August 8th, 2011 at 11:08 pm
We can supply the lithium battery. The whole set with a lithium battery and charger would be £444 plus £15 delivery. Ordering two accessories on top of this would qualify you for the bundle discount.
August 8th, 2011 at 11:05 pm
The GoKart set includes a battery and charger so you don’t need to order these separately. If you did want a second battery at any point the cost would be £49 plus £7.20 postage and packing if ordered separately.
August 8th, 2011 at 11:02 pm
Yes, we’re happy to stand by the remaining warranty if a GoKart is sold on. We’d just need to know the details of the original owner so we can keep our records straight.
August 8th, 2011 at 11:01 pm
We resolved the noise issue a long time ago. We changed the motor to a similarly powerful (230W) but quieter one. So all sorted now. It does still make a mechanical noise but not an issue at all.
August 8th, 2011 at 9:49 pm
read that they can be noisy in comparison with rivals, however, the reviews were a couple of years old.
Is this the case or have you addressed the problem???
August 8th, 2011 at 7:18 pm
Can you please tell me is the go kart warranty still valid if i buy a second hand go kart trolley with 18 mths left on it.
August 8th, 2011 at 12:27 pm
How much are spare batteries and is there a battery charger with the purchase
August 5th, 2011 at 2:39 pm
Can you provide a lithium battery to fit the gokart? If so how much would it be as part of a bundle? Thanks
August 3rd, 2011 at 8:40 am
Hi think your golf trolley looks fab and thinking of investing. Just a little concerned if something goes wrong with it and the fact that I live in Wicklow Ireland. How do I get it repaired? also does that bundle offer still stand?
thanks,
Diana
July 11th, 2011 at 11:21 am
Hi Jeff,
We don’t have a distributor in Asia yet, but we can ship out for individual orders. The cost of shipping is £175 per unit currently, so it is rather expensive.
July 5th, 2011 at 11:52 am
How do I get those amazing gokart ELECTRIC trolley in Asia? I am in Singapore where is the nearest country Gokart have a representative or distributors?
July 4th, 2011 at 1:16 pm
Hi Brett, we ask you to charge the battery for at least 8 hours before using it the first time.
July 4th, 2011 at 1:14 pm
Hi Barry, no plans for that at present.
July 4th, 2011 at 1:13 pm
We would have to charge you VAT when you buy the trolley, but supply you with forms to reclaim the tax when you leave the country.
June 28th, 2011 at 2:27 pm
Please can you let me know how long initially the battery should be charged for – i.e. from first unwrapping the lovely trolley!
June 25th, 2011 at 11:53 am
The battery charger is included in the price of the set – you get the trolley, battery and charger. And for a short while (until the end of July) you also get a brolly holder and a transit bag (total value £38) completely free of charge.
June 25th, 2011 at 11:12 am
do you get a battery charger when you purchase a gokart or is this an optional extra.
June 23rd, 2011 at 12:03 pm
I am now a resident of Malaysia (x UK). If I purchase a GoKart on my next visit to bring back to Malaysia, can I have without paying VAT?
June 23rd, 2011 at 11:18 am
Will you have a remote control any time soon
June 21st, 2011 at 11:28 am
You’ll probably find that you’ll turn the power off anyway going downhill, but the GoKart is happy either way. Just drive it in a way you feel comfortable with.
June 21st, 2011 at 11:27 am
We should have a good stock of lithium batteries within a month or so. Please get in touch with us if you definitely want one and we’ll put one by for you.
June 21st, 2011 at 11:23 am
Hi John. the GoKart isn’t completely silent, it does make a mechanical noise but in no way is this intrusive on the course. Try it out and see and if you’re not happy we’ll collect and refund. We reckon you’ll be thoroughly satisfied though.
June 20th, 2011 at 10:20 am
Your website does not talk about noise level of the the engine bits and pieces when the trolley is in operation. Does that mean it is silent?
June 15th, 2011 at 12:07 pm
Please also contact me when the lithium option is available.
Do you have any idea as to time scale and price?
June 10th, 2011 at 10:10 am
Hi Colin – yes, we’ll be supplying a lithium option shortly. It will of course be more expensive than the standard lead acid battery, but will last for at least 36 holes on one charge and is guaranteed for 2 years, not 1. Considerably lighter, it still fits inside our standard battery carrier so can be used on all GoKarts. We’ll drop you a line when we have it available.
June 9th, 2011 at 10:21 pm
Are you planning to inroduce a lithium powered version?
June 8th, 2011 at 12:16 pm
Hi Stuart,
Do you want to give us a call and we can talk through what you might want to add or change to the existing trolley. I’m sure we can help. 01227 712288
June 6th, 2011 at 11:50 pm
hi just wondering if you have any atatchments for a go cart as i have got one second hand and its got pink wheel insurts /pink handle clip and a pink speed controller do you have any in stock and what would be the price for everything many thanks mr hughson.
May 31st, 2011 at 3:28 pm
Hi Clive,
We’ll be announcing news of the Australian distributor shortly – they’re based in Melbourne. We’ll be making an attachment for a hook especially for Oz. No plans for a brake at present though. We’ll make a note to contact you when the hook is ready – it’ll be a retro-fit so you’ll be fine.
May 31st, 2011 at 7:09 am
My course requires all players to carry a sand bucket to repair divots. Do you make a bucket hook? Currently I have a home made hook which is not particularly attractive. Also play on a hilly course so a foot brake would be useful. Do you have an Australian distributor yet?
May 20th, 2011 at 11:39 am
The handle isn’t adjustable, but the GoKart seems to ‘fit’ a lot of people. If you were to buy it and you found it wasn’t comfortable to use, you would of course get a full refund and we’d collect the trolley. But we reckon you’ll be fine.
May 19th, 2011 at 10:38 pm
I am 6 ft 6 ins is the handle adjustable ?
May 4th, 2011 at 12:06 pm
Not quite yet, but we’re expecting to have good news on this in the next couple of months. Quite a few have been taken out there and seem more than a bit happy on SA fairways. We’ll make a note to let you know when we announce the new distributor’s details.
April 28th, 2011 at 7:18 pm
Any distributors in South Africa ?
April 27th, 2011 at 1:03 pm
Hi Jackie – some ladies find that using two thumbs, rather than a pincer grip with one hand does the trick. Please do try this and let us know how you get on.
April 27th, 2011 at 1:01 pm
Hi David – mainland p&p is £15.
April 27th, 2011 at 1:00 pm
Hi Geraldine – yes, we have both available. And very smart they are too…
April 25th, 2011 at 5:19 pm
As you sell pink n black bags, do you also have a pink n black cart to match?
April 23rd, 2011 at 3:53 pm
Golf Cart +P&P
But what is the cost of P&P on the mainland?
April 22nd, 2011 at 9:22 am
To fit my golf clubs and Gokart in my car boot size I have to remove the wheels of my Gokart. Because of the size of my hands and long nails I am unable to ‘pinch’ the two green bits together. Sandy Catford sent my husband new hubs but that did not help. Do you have a tool that could be used to do this?
April 20th, 2011 at 11:22 am
Hi Paul, when our gps holder is ready it’ll be designed to fit all sorts of distance devices, we’ve made a note to let you know when it’s available.
April 20th, 2011 at 8:14 am
Hi, Do you make an attatchment to fit accessories to the kart. I have a snooper golf course gps.
thanks Paul
February 25th, 2011 at 11:52 am
Hi Chris, yes it’s fine to leave the battery on charge all the time you’re not playing – probably the easiest way to deal with charging too. Just make it a habit to put the battery on charge when you come back from playing, and take the battery off charge when you head off to the course the next time.
February 25th, 2011 at 10:54 am
Is it OK to leave the battery on charge permanently when I’m not using it – I usually play twice a week?
October 10th, 2010 at 12:28 pm
Hi Trevor. Yes the GoKart fits very neatly into the front boot. You don’t need to take the wheels off, but if you do remove one you can store the battery alongside too. A fact that’s made an awful lot of Porsche drivers very happy!
October 9th, 2010 at 12:34 am
Can the go kart fit in the front boot of a porsche boxter, golf clubs fit in the back boot.
May 2nd, 2010 at 8:29 am
Ralph,
We don’t have any dealers. You can buy the GoKart direct from us and we’ll deliver in two or three working days. We also offer full after sales service, and take care of any issues very quickly and easily.
May 1st, 2010 at 6:54 am
are there any dealers supplying your golf trolleys in northern ireland?
April 30th, 2010 at 10:26 pm
Hi Tom,
There isn’t a brake on the GoKart. We find the best way to give more control on extreme slopes is to turn the trolley round, and with the power off, just walk down in front of it. This causes the motor to generate a braking effect and solves the problem quite neatly.
April 30th, 2010 at 8:34 pm
because of an extremely steep hill on our course I need a brake to slow the trolley down. does it hve a brake?
April 20th, 2010 at 12:40 pm
Bags don’t tend to twist on the GoKart at all. Once you put them in place they behave.
April 16th, 2010 at 6:35 pm
Question: will the Powakaddy Delux iii bag key lock base fit the foot of the Go Kart thereby helping the bag not to twist.
March 30th, 2010 at 9:33 pm
Grahame, we’ll send you a quote okay – it would be shipped by our Dutch office who handle the rest of Europe.
March 27th, 2010 at 9:31 am
I bought a GoKart last year and would like to have 2 sent to my Portuguese address by the cheapest method. What can you do for me.?
There are 2 GoKarts at present in our golf club at home.
Regards
Grahame.
March 25th, 2010 at 3:19 pm
Dear David, Yes we do make a golf bag to match the trolley take a look here There will very soon be an orange and an all black bag available too. But you can in fact use any cart bag on the GoKart. Ours look very smart of course…
March 24th, 2010 at 8:01 pm
Hi
My wife and I are avid golfers, last week I played against a golfer whom had one of your gokarts,I was very impressed with the gokart and am thinking of buying maybe two 36 hole buggies,at the moment we have two powercaddy buggies with powercaddie bags,my question is ,do you sell special golf bags to fit your gokarts
regards Mr D Mavin
March 23rd, 2010 at 1:41 pm
Hi Roy,
Not at the moment but the boffins here are always musing over this and that. We do rather like a simple approach to the golf trolley, and the Gokart certainly is very neat, simple and effective.
March 23rd, 2010 at 1:40 pm
Hi, I am currently checking out the trolley market as mine needs replacing. I have noticed your Gokart, does not have a distance control
gadget to send it off to the next tee.
Is there any plans to introudce such a gadget any time soon.
Thanks.
Roy.
March 23rd, 2010 at 1:04 pm
Hi Andy,
No plans for the moment. Now we’re off to look at this website that’s got you blushing…
March 23rd, 2010 at 1:03 pm
hey guy’s …. oohhh eeehhhh and gals ( i suppose )..
let me just start by saying that website is not mine i ehhh, accidentally happened to come accross that looking for eemmmm wallpaper samples, yeh that sounds plausible..
i’ve had my trolley for a few years now, in fact i’m on to my second one now. traded original light grey one for the smoother, quieter black one. and let me just say how awesome it is
the only problem is, Iam really lazy. i mean why do i have to take my hands out of my pockets to use that wee scroller thingy on the handle, what I’m gettin at is :- do you have any plans in the future to bring out a remote version of the already great GOKART.
cheers
andy

Are you planning any “Winter Wheels”? I have currently screwed Hedgehogs to my main wheels, and have had no complaints yet.
No Trolley Notice From Lingfield Park Golf Club.
To keep the Golf Course in as good condition as possible all notices that are posted have long term implications.
The `No Trolley` notice is posted to protect all playing surfaces.
Hedgehog wheel covers can be used at all times on a standard pull trolley.
Powakaddy and other leading brand winter wheel can be fitted and used all year round.
To respect all members who abide by these rules; would all members please do the same.
Thank you for your co-operation

Nik,
You’re right, the GoKart doesn’t have a parking brake (we don’t know of an electric trolley that does). It really not a problem though; after a couple of rounds you’d find you were parking it across the slope without even realising it. The RC09 will fit the GoKart perfectly.
September 14th, 2009 at 3:09 pm
hi Guys,
Fantastic website. Great reviews. I am seriously thinking of jumping on the Electric trolley bandwagon and i feel GoKart would be the best place to start. May be a dumb question…… there is no mention of brakes, so how does the cart stay parked on slopes?
I hope the Titleist RC09 cart bag fits in fine on this trolley.
August 20th, 2009 at 5:03 pm
Dave,
No you don’t have to keep your hand on the controls at all once you’ve set the speed. You can just walk along beside or behind your GoKart and it’ll trundle along on its own. They’re very well trained you know.
August 20th, 2009 at 4:55 pm
Hey guys!
Just wondering..
I assume that the little scrolling thing (ie. the throttle).. doesn’t have to be permantly held for the cart to cruise along? i ask because in all the vids, the chap has his had rested on it. i assume you can set the throttle an it will cruise along on its own (ie. without me having my finger on the scrollling wheel thing)
Ta
Dave

Hello again, marvellous people :) any remote indications on a new trolley coming out? And if so, what features? You might as well reserve one now for me.
July 10th, 2009 at 7:37 am
Hi Cliff – Yes we do have an umbrella holder (which is out of stock currently but we’ll email you when it’s available again) Other types of holders won’t fit, as they’re designed for the more usula tubular framed trolleys. If you look on the accessory page of the website http://www.gokart.co.uk/the-go-kart/accessories/ you’ll see a golf bag, a seat, transit bag, a brolly and soon there’ll be a drinks holder. Plenty to get shopping with!
July 9th, 2009 at 12:24 pm
Hi,
Bought trolley 2 or 3 years a go – still going fine. GoKart supplied an improved bracket for the bag to lift it further off the trolley, which worked ok, although it would be good if this could be heightened futher to make it easier to get clubs out – small point.
Main query is…umberella holders to fit trolley. Do you have your own bespoke model or will a universal holder fit?
Are there any other accessories I need to be aware of?
June 25th, 2009 at 3:43 pm
Robert,
Yes, hedgehogs work fine with the GoKart. Use cable ties to keep them in place.
June 24th, 2009 at 9:14 am
Can hedgehogs be fitted to the GoKart without adverse effects?
June 23rd, 2009 at 1:33 pm
No, No, and No. But nice try. Good to have some golf to watch on a Monday wasn’t it!
June 23rd, 2009 at 1:28 pm
OK I entered your US Open Go-Kart competition. I predicted Tiger to win with 279. He finished in sixth place with 280. Was I near enough to win my trolley (or am I just off it)?
If I am allowed a second guess it would be Lucas Glover to win on 276.
Are back-dated entries allowed?
June 20th, 2009 at 6:43 pm
Derick,
You don’t need the battery fitting kit. If you buy a GoKart, including battery and charger, you get everything you need (apart from golf clubs, golf bag, golf ball and good hand/eye coordination).
The fitting kit is there for people who already have a battery which they want to use with the GoKart.
June 20th, 2009 at 12:07 pm
I am thinking of buying one of your golf trolley’s but in your extra’s list it mentions battery fitting attachment . Do you need this extra attachment to fit on the battery or is one already fitted.
June 11th, 2009 at 3:04 pm
The brolley holder is £19, plus £4 p&p.
June 11th, 2009 at 2:59 pm
I would like to order a umbrella holder would you please advice price and postage, thank you
June 7th, 2009 at 11:42 am
Stuart,
We’ve googled “Ram cart bag” and they make quite a few different styles. We’ve tried bags of all makes and sizes with the GoKart and never found one that can’t be used. I’m sure your bag would fit, but remember if you decided to buy a GoKart, you’ve got a month to use it to make sure it’s what you want. If it’s not suitable for any reason, we’ll collect it and give you a full refund.
June 7th, 2009 at 10:21 am
hi all, i have a ram golf cart bag, could you advise if this will fit ok on your GoKart. many thanks
June 5th, 2009 at 10:57 pm
Mark,
We have two batteries; an 18 and a 36 hole. The 18 hole battery is the one for most people. It has more than enough power for one round on any course.
June 3rd, 2009 at 3:45 pm
Please can you confirm if you do a 2 round battery or does the standard battery provided manage 36 holes easily?
May 29th, 2009 at 2:57 pm
Hi Colin,
GoKart was designed and is manufactured by us, in the the UK. All the individual components are made for us, to our design. We carry out all the assembly in our own factory in Canterbury.
The majority of the components are also made in the UK – this includes all the moulded frame, the internal drive parts, and electronic controller.
The main parts we have had to source outside the UK are the battery, charger and motor. These are made in China. The battery is a standard part, but the charger and motor are still made specially to our own specification. These types of product is no longer manufactured on any scale in the West, so we didn’t really have a choice.
The gearbox is incorporated into the body of the trolley – it’s not a separate unit. The internal drive components themselves are either moulded using engineering polymers or machined from stainless steel. All moving parts run in sealed steel bearings.
Hope this is useful!
May 27th, 2009 at 4:38 pm
Hello.
I would like to know if the GOKART electric golf trolley is all British and wether any parts at all are made in CHINA, also is the gearbox made of metal / steel. Many thanks. Colin
May 27th, 2009 at 4:00 pm
Alfred,
To be honest we haven’t tried the Motocaddy bag (we haven’t got one here at GKHQ) but at the next opportunity we promise to accost a Motocaddy bag owner, rip off his bag and scuttle off to our waiting GK to test it. This might of course get us arrested, but all in the name of science I suppose. But if you were to order a trolley, and your bag didn’t fit, we’d always collect it and give you a refund. or (if we may be so bold) you might want to swap your Motocaddy bag for a lovely GoKart one to enhance your lovely new trolley…
May 27th, 2009 at 3:53 pm
Hi I am very interested in your product. I have recently purchased a motocaddy cart bag with an umbreller and putter well. With my current manual trolley I find the top support bracket comes up against the umbrella. Would a mottocaddy bag fit ok on your Trolley?
May 19th, 2009 at 11:42 am
Hi Karen,
I’m afraid we don’t accept Laser as a form of payment. The carriage charge to Ireland is £40. Shout if you need any other info from us.
May 19th, 2009 at 10:30 am
Hiya Can i pay woth Laser (i live in Ireland) and how much is the delivery?
May 19th, 2009 at 10:00 am
Hi Richard. The seat is for, well, sitting on. When the trolley is parked that is, not when you’re rolling along. It props on the wheel when you sit on it, and it’ll take quite a weight (up to around 20 stone).
May 19th, 2009 at 9:55 am
I am looking too get the gokart as a present for fathers day and my family have asked me too find out what the seat is for ? now it maybe because I do like a sit down on the 9th but need to now will it hold only a certain weight and is it just fixed on too the trolley?
May 18th, 2009 at 1:43 pm
James – yes, there’s a top rain cover included.
May 18th, 2009 at 1:19 pm
Does your new golf bag include a cover/hood to go over the clubs, it doesn’t show on your site.
May 17th, 2009 at 10:36 pm
Hi Jason – yes we do have a brolley holder. We’re out of stock at the mo but we’ve made a note to email you as soon as we have it available again – should only be a week or two. Sorry you got soggy…chucked it down here in Kent too.
May 17th, 2009 at 6:51 pm
hi everyone. really pleased with the new gokart. excellent bit of kit. after getting absolutely soaked this morning was wondering if you sell an umberella holder? thanks.
May 13th, 2009 at 3:21 pm
Jim,
The standard battery has enough power for at least 27 holes. We can also supply a larger battery that’s guaranteed for 36 holes, but this one is nearly 3kg heavier, so we don’t recommend it unless you play 36 regularly.
The GoKart does come with a battery charger and delivery is next working day for orders received before 3pm.
Regards
May 13th, 2009 at 2:14 pm
CAN YOU PLEASE TELL ME THE DELIVERY TIME
May 12th, 2009 at 7:01 pm
HOW MANY HOLES CAN I GET OUT OF THE BATTERY AND DOSE THE CHARGER COME WITH THE TROLLEY
May 11th, 2009 at 9:08 pm
Gerry, we’ve not had the pleasure of playing Maywood, but you can be sure that the GoKart would eat it for breakfast, and then be jumping up and down asking for more.
We’ve tested the trolley on the meanest, hilliest courses we could find and it can cope with everything we throw at it. If you and I can get up a hill (without pitons and ropes) then a GoKart will. Easily.
We have to disagree with the 33Ah battery information. Our batteries are either 18Ah (18 hole) or 24Ah (36 hole) and they’re ample.
Although we have a big beefy 230W motor, the way the gearing works in the GoKart is very efficient, with the result it’s not heavy on power use. All in all a neat system. Proof is when you take it out yourself, we think you’ll be impressed.
May 11th, 2009 at 8:59 pm
My course is quite hilly. In fact the first hole is quite steep. (upwards)
The figures you publish appear to be the same as other manufacturers. IE for level courses?
My question therefore is: How long will the battery last on a hilly course?
I have been told that a 24ah battery won’t last 18 holes on a hilly course and that I would need a 33ah battery minimum.
My course is Maywood in Risley, Derbyshire
Best regards

Hi Tom,
You’d lift the seat out of its bracket for storage (takes a second) – the bracket stays permanently on the trolley.
We supply new batteries complete with a case. There may be occasions when your old battery might come in handy, maybe for the odd nine holes, and you wouldn’t want to be faffing around switching the covers over. The complete unit is still a very reasonable £41 plus £4 p&p
May 7th, 2009 at 9:53 pm
Does the new SEAT for the trolley have to be removed before folding
if so how long to fit.
My trolley is now 2 years old(still very pleased with it), and it is time to replace a tired battery, do you supply replacement batteries without the fitting tray? If so what prices please?.
Cheers
Tom
May 7th, 2009 at 2:40 pm
Hi Amrjit – if you play 36 that much you’d do better with the 36 hole battery (or 2 18 hole batteries and use them in rotation). The transit bag isn’t included in the set, it’s an extra £19.
May 7th, 2009 at 2:37 pm
Ann,
If you look at this page on the website http://www.gokart.co.uk/the-go-kart/veni-vidi-vici/ you’ll see diagrams of the trolley folded and unfolded with all the measurements in mm. In inches the folded trolley is pretty much 12″ deep, 24″ wide and 24″ long.
May 7th, 2009 at 2:32 pm
Hi Neil,
Sorry no plans to change the way the on/off works at the moment or take the remote control route. Just hide his putter the next time he does it.
May 7th, 2009 at 7:40 am
are you folded sizes for the GoKart in inches or cm’s?
May 5th, 2009 at 10:49 am
i have a golf partner who thinks it’s very funny to send a friends electric trundling off on its own, while they tee off. it is quite funny when its someone else, but i was wondering if you have any way off either isolating the power, or have any plans to go remote controled?
May 4th, 2009 at 10:50 pm
Hi Desna,
No the handle isn’t adjustable but we find it really does suit pretty much everybody. Try the GoKart out and if it’s not completely comfortable then just let us know and we’ll collect and refund.
May 4th, 2009 at 10:48 pm
Do you have the new treaded wheels? They do have a bit more ‘give’. But the trolley will put up with all the paths on your course, whichever wheels it’s wearing.
May 1st, 2009 at 12:05 pm
I normally play one round a week but 5-6 times a year I have a ‘golf day’ where I play 36 holes. Does that mean I need a 36 hole battery? Also does the cover come with the trolley or is it a additional purchase?
April 29th, 2009 at 5:45 pm
Is the length of the handle adjustable?
April 28th, 2009 at 3:02 pm
Hi Steve,
The scorecard cover is an integral part of the handle, you don’t have to buy it as an accessory, it’s already there!
April 24th, 2009 at 8:51 pm
do you make a score card holder
April 24th, 2009 at 3:16 pm
Are there any plans for tyred wheels? The current ones are great in the main, but our course has lots of rocky paths, and the hard wheels are a bit unforgiving, and I’m afraid something is going to give in the main chassis…
April 23rd, 2009 at 1:57 pm
Don,
You are right in that the battery doesn’t self discharge very quickly, but it’s bad to store a battery for any longer than necessary when it’s not fully charged. So we definitely don’t recommend using a 36 battery in the way you describe.
Regarding your second comment, it is true that the service life of a lead/acid battery is related to the number of charge/discharge cycles, but it’s not the only factor, and the damage caused by storing it partially charged would easily offset any benefit by lowering the number of re-charges.
April 20th, 2009 at 5:49 pm
If I have a 36 hole battery with only one charger, and your fully charged battery is good off charge for some weeks, could I say play 18 holes and leave the battery off charge and then play a further 18 holes a week or so later without problem?
The reason for this question is that an engineering friend of mine who ran a battery manufacturing business some years ago said that a battery life is generally reckoned on the number of cycles it does and if
you only charge a 36 hole battery every 36 holes played, it will last twice as long as charging after every 118 holes

Sorry Larry, hate to be the bringer of bad news, but you didn’t win. We’ve informed the lucky lad and will announce the result once we have permission to post his details on the site.
April 19th, 2009 at 11:25 pm
Just to let you know my golf has improved and I’m sure the new GoKart trolley helped me achieve a more relaxed and a better focus on the game – psychology does work!
I’m still handing out the batch of postcards you sent me and members at my club continue to be impressed. At the moment I’m quite enjoying being the only one at my club with a GoKart trolley. However, I’m sure there will be others joining soon.
All I need now is one of your bags – I’m working on it and hopefully I’ll be able to make some headway soon.
Just one thing you can help me with. I’ve been anxiously waiting to see If I might have been lucky with the Easter draw you advertised when I bought my trolley. Any news yet?
Cheers,
Larry
April 19th, 2009 at 7:40 pm
Hi Gary,
The GoKart bag isn’t included in the price of the set – the transit bag is £19 (no postage charge if you order it at the same time as the trolley), and the golf bag is £69 plus £4 p&p.
April 18th, 2009 at 6:51 pm
does the cart come complete with bag or do you have purchase it separately
Thanks
April 18th, 2009 at 3:10 pm
Hi There
I love the trolley, the seat is a godsend and the trolley bag is great for the car, but still havn’t seen the umbrella attachment available yet. When can i buy it?.
One more thing, I noticed you now sell the golfbag. I would love to see more detailed pics of the bag before I buy it.
cheers
April 16th, 2009 at 1:09 pm
Hi Kari – yep, we’ll email you the specifications so that you can shop for it locally. You’ll just change the cover over, which is simple.
April 15th, 2009 at 3:24 pm
Hi there
I purchased a golf kart last year and it is brilliant. I have emigrated to Australia what are the possibilities of getting a spare battery or can you at least send me the specs such that I can try to get one here.
April 12th, 2009 at 2:39 pm
Lithium batteries. Hmmmm. They’re nice but very expensive. Effectively it would double the price of the trolley. The way it stands now we actively use the battery as part of the frame, locking it and adding stability. And with the carrying handle it’s easy to grab, not heavy to lift and generally pretty easy. Would an extra couple of hundred pounds be worth it?
April 11th, 2009 at 9:20 am
Any plans for a lithium battery trolley?
April 10th, 2009 at 8:25 pm
A battery fitting kit is only necessary if you want to use a battery you already have on the GoKart. Lots of batteries will fit; let us know if you have a stack nestling in the corner of your garage and we’ll say whether they’re compatible. The ‘fitting kit’ is the cover that the bare battery sits in to clip it onto the GoKart.
If you’re thinking of buying the set – GoKart, battery (in cover) and charger – you won’t need a battery fitting kit.
April 10th, 2009 at 8:03 pm
What is a battery fitting kit? Must it be purchased separately, or is it included in the £219 price of the trolley?
April 5th, 2009 at 9:57 pm
Gary,
Yes, your gluteus minimus (bum, to you and me) would be fine on a GoKart seat. It can cope with a bit more than that so go off and get some pies.
April 5th, 2009 at 9:47 pm
Not that I’m extremely over weight or anything!! But with regards the seat , would it take 14.5 stone (obviously of pure muscle)?
April 5th, 2009 at 2:50 pm
Patricia,
Yes, we have a seat for the GoKart – if you take a look at the accessory page http://www.gokart.co.uk/the-go-kart/accessories/
you’ll see some photos. It costs £19 plus postage.
April 5th, 2009 at 2:30 pm
At present I have a powercaddy trolley which has a seat which can be attached and which I find invaluable when play is slow. Do you have a GoKart trolley with optional seat?
March 31st, 2009 at 10:17 pm
The motor does make a slight mechanical noise but it’s not in any way obtrusive, and customers don’t complain about it.
March 30th, 2009 at 6:25 pm
Hi, Is your powerful motor as whisper quiet as other highly acclaimed karts.
March 30th, 2009 at 4:50 pm
Hi Mike,
Trolley only without battery and charger is £187 plus £15 carriage. Let us know if you want to check whether it’ll fit.
March 29th, 2009 at 10:17 pm
I like the gokart and thinking of getting one – what’s cost if I use my current battery and don’t buy the battery and charger you have for the gokart?
March 24th, 2009 at 1:20 pm
Hi Robert.
No, that doesn’t apply to this sort of battery. The (now rather obsolete) Nicad technology liked that sort of treatment though.
March 20th, 2009 at 8:25 pm
Is battery life longer if the battery is run down fully after use, to keep its memory, and then fully recharged
March 20th, 2009 at 3:55 pm
Yep, it’ll fit in the back boot with the wheels removed, and in the front boot with both wheels in place.
March 20th, 2009 at 3:25 pm
Hi
I’m hoping to buy a GoKart soon. I was wondering if anyone knows if it fits into the front or rear boot of a Porsche Boxster. My current cart I have to remove once of the wheels to get it into the boot, and its becoming a pain.
March 20th, 2009 at 3:19 pm
Robert,
A combination of mouldings and stainless steel, specified according to suitability.
March 20th, 2009 at 2:10 pm
Drive unit; are the gears in the gear box and intergrated diff. plastic or metal?
March 19th, 2009 at 1:40 pm
Hi Mary,
Glad you’re enjoy using the GK! You’re doing exactly the right thing by re-charging after every use. What batteries hate more than anything else in the world (even more than witnessing their owners four putt) is being left in a state of partial charge for longer than necessary. The moral of the story; always charge sharpish even after just a bit of use.
March 18th, 2009 at 10:02 pm
Have had my GoKart for a month – I love it. Mainly playing 9 holes after work at the moment. I re-charge my battery after every round, but wondered if it does any harm to keep re-charging after only 9 holes.
March 17th, 2009 at 8:23 am
John,
The spare battery is £41, and the carry bag is £19. Post and packing would be £4. Please let us know if you’d like more information.
March 17th, 2009 at 1:55 am
How much is a spare battery & the carry bag please ?
I am thinking of purchasing your trolley after seeing my neighbours & how light it is , he always moans about my Hill Billy being heavy.
March 13th, 2009 at 3:31 pm
Hi Chris,
No plans for this for the moment still – we’re still huge supporters of the ‘keep it simple’ principle.
March 13th, 2009 at 12:23 pm
Any more news on the distance function – such as timescale, any sort of cost indication, and will it be retrofittable?
March 11th, 2009 at 8:32 pm
Yes, we do make a seat. Details are on our accessories page. Click here to have a look.
March 11th, 2009 at 7:58 pm
can a seat be fitted ?
March 4th, 2009 at 8:28 am
Wes,
We accept that the gear resistance mentioned isn’t a replacement for a parking brake, but you can feel the difference in drag between forward and backward motion by turning one of the drive wheels manually; moving in reverse turns the gears and motor, moving forward just turns the wheel and is much freer.
March 2nd, 2009 at 9:48 pm
Thank you for your resposne “195″ which advises that for the backwards direction the gearing creates some resistance to free movement, so should hold it steady on slopes up to a point. The probem I have is that there is no gearing resistance at all backwards and the trolley simply free wheels back on anything other than completely flat.
Regards
March 2nd, 2009 at 8:41 pm
John,
The GoKart folds down to 26x59x61 cms (HxWxL)
March 2nd, 2009 at 5:54 pm
WHAT IS THE DIMENSIONS OF THE TROLLEY WHEN FOLDED DOWN FOR TRANSPORTATION.
February 27th, 2009 at 1:42 pm
Wes,
We have gone to great lengths to ensure the GoKart is very free running – in the forwards direction. All moving parts in the drive train run in precision sealed bearings, and our patented drive system includes a very efficient free-wheel feature. However, in the other direction (pulling it backwards), the gearing creates some resistance to free movement, so should hold it steady on slopes up to a point. Beyond this, the GoKart will need to be parked across the slope. Hopefully this won’t prove to be too much of a problem, but we’ve noted your comment for consideration in future product development.
February 27th, 2009 at 1:05 pm
Using my new Go-Kart the only thing I’ve noticed (frustratingly) is when stopping or parking even on the very slightest of inclines the trolley will run back (and/or forward) meaning it has to be parked always at 90 degrees on slight gradients. Conversely my playing partners using trolleys from different manufacturers all appear to hold in position on reasonable slopes.
Just checking that it is normal/designed that the Go-Kart always needs need to be stopped/parked at right angles on even the slightest inclines.
regards

Neil,
We don’t have a referral scheme. Our policy is to keep our selling price as low as possible – for everyone. This means we don’t have the margin to offer sales commission too.
February 27th, 2009 at 12:00 pm
do you have a referral scheme
February 26th, 2009 at 5:02 pm
It’s made of thermoplastic polymers, but the mix is varied according to the demands on each particular component part. So plastic in various compositions. And tough as old boots.
February 26th, 2009 at 1:23 am
What kind of materials that the trolley made of ?
February 25th, 2009 at 4:56 pm
Thomas,
Nothing more than general musing to date, but we think it’s something that would be possible in the future.
February 25th, 2009 at 2:37 pm
have you ever considered a push/pull version of the go-kart
February 19th, 2009 at 9:38 pm
Susan,
The battery is 6.5kg and the trolley is 7.6kg
February 19th, 2009 at 2:39 pm
How heavy is the battery? How heavy is the Kart?
February 19th, 2009 at 1:41 pm
Hi John,
Happy to clarify. There are occasional offers but in general terms;
New trolleys; these are all completely up to current specification; with the new treaded wheels and lower bag rest. No need to buy any extra wheels unless you’re particularly taken with them. Incidentally they smell really nice, sort of marzipan type smell. Strange but true. So the basic package contains, trolley, battery and charger (no transit bag).
And used trolleys are also up to current spec with the treaded wheels and new lower bag rest. Same contents; trolley, battery and charger but no transit bag.
February 13th, 2009 at 11:34 am
Dave,
We now have the umbrella holder available. The seat will be available again towards the end of next week. Incidentally, the reason it has been unavailable for a while is because we’ve been modifying it to work with our new wheels. We couldn’t do this, until the wheels were in production. We’ll let you know when it’s back in stock.
February 12th, 2009 at 8:28 pm
Still waiting to purchase the Full Package including Umbrella and Seat.
When do you expect to have these ready?
Regards
Dave
February 11th, 2009 at 6:18 pm
Ernest,
We’re hoping it will be around April. Lots of delays, and let downs from our supplier are responsible. We’ll keep you informed via our newsletter
February 11th, 2009 at 5:03 pm
Hi could you tell me when the long awaited trolley bag will be available
Best Regards Ernie
February 10th, 2009 at 10:06 pm
James,
The GoKart freewheels forwards very easily. It’s designed to do this and it won’t cause any damage.
February 10th, 2009 at 1:50 pm
Hi,
A friend of mine purchased one of these trolleys last year and highly recommended to me. Just one thing – if I do play 36 holes and the battery dies part the way round – is it damaging to push/pull the trolley for the remainder of the round – and is this awkward?
Thanks!
Looking forward to hopefully ordering one in the coming weeks!
February 7th, 2009 at 11:33 pm
Mary,
The GoKart doesn’t like going backwards. It can be pulled backwards for short distances when manoeuvring (round tee boxes/opponents trolleys/dead squirrels etc) but it’s not designed to go backwards for more than this.
February 4th, 2009 at 9:26 pm
When going downhill a steep hill can the cart go backwards?
February 3rd, 2009 at 5:38 pm
Hi Tom,
No, we haven’t got any sort of distance/remote control. We kept it basic. If you got your hands on a GoKart and try it on the course, you’d love it so much you’d completely forget about remote thingamijigs.
February 1st, 2009 at 6:12 pm
does it come with a remote control?
January 31st, 2009 at 12:55 pm
Craig,
If it’s designed as a cart bag it’ll fit. Lots of non cart bags fit very nicely as well. If it’s ever a case that a customer orders a GoKart and it’s not 100% satisfactory in terms of being able to get to their balls (or whatever else they need to get hold of), we’d refund them.
Nice bag, btw. Not as nice as the one we have planned at the end of March though.
January 30th, 2009 at 4:16 pm
how well does a taylormade monaco cart bag fit onto the trolley?
January 29th, 2009 at 6:35 pm
Yes, it is possible, or at least it will be very shortly. Off the shelf ones won’t fit as they’re all designed for tubular frames (which ours most certainly isn’t). So we’ve designed our own bracket which will be ready very very shortly. Watch the site over the next couple of days and you’ll see it’s available…£23 inc. postage and packing. And very nifty it is too! The sort of thing M would have tucked away for Mr. Bond. Probably would fit on an Aston Martin somewhere.
January 27th, 2009 at 2:27 pm
Is it possible to attach an umberella holder to the trolly?
January 22nd, 2009 at 4:46 pm
Andy,
Although you’d have to buy them separately, you can fit Hedgehog wheel covers to the GoKart wheels. Hedgehog specify them for use on pull trolleys only, but we’ve tested them extensively on our trolley, and are happy to recommended them to our owners. Please follow these links to other pages on our site for more information:

Alot of courses during the winter months (most of the year) don’t like trolleys on the course usless they have hedgehog wheel covers. Is this something your are looking into for the gp-karts?
January 18th, 2009 at 8:30 pm
Eurof,
It certainly wouldn’t affect your warranty to fit a bike water bottle to the GoKart. The frame is very different to the Hill Billy, so you might need to drill a hole to attach it. Incidentally, we’ll be adding a bottle holder to the list of GoKart accessories in the next couple of months.
January 14th, 2009 at 4:31 pm
I run a very old hillbilly which will soon be replaced. I use a bike waterbottle in a cycle mount screwed to the metal frame. Can I do the same thing a a gokart and willit affect the warranty.
January 13th, 2009 at 10:37 pm
Richard,
that Yuasa battery wll fit perfectly, you’ll just need one of our battery fitting kits (the plastic case the battery sits in that locates onto the trolley). You have a choice as to whether you buy the two trolleys complete with batteries and have your Yuasa as a spare, or buy one of the GoKarts without battery and charger. If if any doubt, give us a call on 01227 712288 Mon-Fri, 9-5.
January 12th, 2009 at 2:23 pm
Hello
I’m thinking of buying two GoKarts and have a virtually new YUASA NPC24-12I battery. It is roughly 170wX125dX170h Will it fit the GOKart please.
thanks.
January 10th, 2009 at 2:40 pm
Peter,
Answers first – we haven’t measured the top speed but you’d have to jog to keep up with it. It’ll easily romp up any hill you or I can get up, and the motor is a beefy 230W.
Power isn’t an issue! We designed it so that it would always have plenty of ooomph in reserve, and never have to be working flat out.
We’re confident it’ll compare very, very favourably.
January 10th, 2009 at 1:06 pm
Sirs,
My existing trolley is an Auriol Power Drive which is, sadly, about to die on me. It would leave me for dead when set off on it’s own if given full power – I.ve had to run after it before now – and never had a problem with any gradient. The battery is some seven years old and still working fine whereas most batteries, (it would appear), last about a twelve month. The longevity of mine, I believe, is due to the fact it is rarely used at full capacity so my questions are :- What is the maximum speed of the Go Kart. what gradients will it climb and what is the power output.
Regards
Peter
January 10th, 2009 at 11:40 am
Marjorie,
We hope by the end of this month, or the beginning of February
January 10th, 2009 at 8:58 am
How long before the umbrella holder is available?
January 4th, 2009 at 9:49 pm
William,
We don’t sell the GoKart through shops or at golf courses. The only way to view before buying is to see an existing owner with one on the course. There are advantages with our direct to the public only policy, but this is the main disadvantage. Please note though, that we give a 28 day money back guarantee. If you buy a GoKart, you have a month to use it, and if it doesn’t live up to your expectations, we’ll collect it and refund the full purchase price.
January 1st, 2009 at 2:11 pm
Is there anywhere in Northern Ireland I can view this trolley ?
December 22nd, 2008 at 3:33 pm
Looks like you play better when less than fully charged. Try staying up really late before your next important match.
December 22nd, 2008 at 10:22 am
Friday – C**p
Saturday – 82 gross – nett 69 – 2 under par
Sunday – 80 gross – 40 points
December 21st, 2008 at 10:27 pm
Shane, you didn’t mention the important bit – how did you play?
December 21st, 2008 at 7:00 pm
I would like to pass on some great news!
I have an 18 hole battery and decided to see how long it would last without charging it.
Needless to say I should never have doubted the quality of Gokart and it’s accessories.
Friday, 19th Dec 08 – Played 18 holes with a fully charged battery.
Saturday, 20th Dec 08 – Played 18 holes without charging the battery.
Sunday, 21st Dec 08 – Played 18 holes without charging the battery.
Sunday evening decided to charge the battery as I did not want to push my luck too far.
Consensus – 18 hole battery lasts for 54 holes and maybe more and this is not on a flat course.
Congratulations on a great product and I have peace of mind to be able to play 36 holes if I forget to charge my battery (which I have done in the past).
December 18th, 2008 at 11:04 pm
The offer is until the end of the year. And remember, a GoKart is for life and not just for Christmas…
December 18th, 2008 at 10:52 pm
Is the transit bag free only up to Xmas or to the end of the year ?
December 13th, 2008 at 2:09 pm
Will a Go Kart take an umbrella holder?
December 1st, 2008 at 10:26 am
Chris B’s comment is a little simplistic, it’s true that leaves and loose impediments can be cleared by backing off an inch or two but combined with sticky mud and/or frost noooooo! Bring on the new lower bag support
November 29th, 2008 at 11:23 pm
With regards to a lot of people commenting on the clogging on the front wheel… Guys, it’s simple, all you do is stop your cart and pull it backwards an inch or so. Then all the muck and leaves are deposited in a tidy wee heap. U can then motor on til your hearts content, u don’t actually have to start prodding at the front wheel so theres no point making a drama out of a very manageable problem!!!
November 19th, 2008 at 8:30 am
Pictures of it on internet look fine. We’ll check one out in the flesh today if we can track one down locally and email you with the thumbs up, ok? Damn, visit to a golf shop. I love my job.
November 18th, 2008 at 2:55 pm
Hi
The bag is a taylor made monaco cart bag
November 17th, 2008 at 9:25 pm
Hi Michael,
Any chance you can send us a photo of the bag, or a model number so we can look online?
November 17th, 2008 at 8:00 pm
Hi I am looking to buy one for my girl friend, but she has a brand new taylor made bag which has a stupid rigid handle on the back. Can you tell me if the bag will sit on your trolley flat.As at present she has to place the bag side ways with her current trolley.
November 17th, 2008 at 7:47 pm
Gary,
Complete ban on electric trolleys! That sounds a bit severe – does your course turn into a blancmange in the winter? We’d better get development of our hover trolley moving then.
November 17th, 2008 at 7:40 pm
I am gutted – my club has put a blanket ban on Electric Trolleys until March 2009. I asked the Pro, he said the likes of Powakaddies are too heavy – he even said the Gokart would be fine, but they can’t have one rule for one etc etc – they also say Hedgehog wheels do not work!!
November 17th, 2008 at 7:38 pm
Kevin,
The GoKart doesn’t have the bells and whistles you mention. We deliberately kept it clean and simple, sticking to just the essentials – very quick and easy to use, nice and light and with a sensible price. We hope you like the look of it. Please let us know if you’d like more information.
November 17th, 2008 at 6:25 pm

The switch on the GoKart is different to the ‘bloody Hilly Billy’ (sic). It is a marvelous switch, a wonderous speed controlling device with almost divine, trolley speed controlling power. The plastic is more prosaic unfortunately – it’s just Tough, with a capital Ta.
Even though you say your Wife, Deborah, does not like golf at the moment, we’re sure if you gave her a GoKart, it would change her whole life for the better. If not, please remember our unique 28 day, money back guarantee.
November 3rd, 2008 at 1:39 pm
Please tell me that the switch in your trollety is not like the bloody Hilly Billy. one! How sturdy is the plastic that you use to produce such a good looking trolley?Pstheabove name is my wife wich detest golf!,but always try to please with nice golfing prezzy, ciao Giuseppe

Well before we start talking about golf bags we’ll just say how much we admired the Babyshambles stuff.
The good news is there will be a GoKart trolley bag if you can hang on til Christmas or just after, and very smart it’ll be too. But if you really can’t control yourself you’reokay with pretty much any cart bag that takes your fancy. We rather like the Gogolf ones, as they come in lots of wonderful colours (www.goclassicgolf.com) but the Ogio bags look very good too. Check out these three on the blog for a bit of a design statement – http://www.gokart.co.uk/blog/gokart-news/now-this-is-what-we-like/
October 14th, 2008 at 3:24 pm
I have a go-kart and it’s great, but wish you also did a golf bag for the trolley. Can you recomend one please.
Also please let me know when the umbrella holder is available please.
Thanks

All the GoKarts we make at the moment have the darker frame; it’s very very very dark grey (I call it black…) When we launched, for the first year or so all the trolleys made were light grey and green. The website does have a smattering of old photographs on it.
If you were to order one now it’d be black and either blue, red, pink or green. You can also have a black battery cover if you’d rather.
We’ll try to keep to our prompt delivery schedules before Christmas, but if last year is anything to go by it gets blooming busy. If you can, allow ten days or so for UK mainland.
October 13th, 2008 at 3:46 pm
Hi,
A lot of the pictures on your site show the go kart being darker than it actually is. Are these pictures of the same Go Kart? or is this just a lighting thing?
Any plans to make the go kart in Black or dark charcoal like the some of the pictures on your site?
Also what is your delivery time going to be likely in the run up to Christmas?
Cheers
Al

You’re welcome! In the meantime we’ll see what I can sort out for you in case the buckle does prove to be a problem. Might have to have a Blue Peter moment on your behalf!
October 12th, 2008 at 6:36 pm
Thanks for your offer of a sample strap for me to try, my email was only an inquiry, I have to say that I found your prompt reply and the offer to send a sample strap impressive. When I need to buy an electric trolley a gokart will be top of the list subject to me being able to use the buckle type of strap. Incidentally, several of my golfing pals have similar arthritis problems and would welcome any help to ease some of the problems met when carrying out what appear to be everyday tasks. Once again thanks for you prompt reply.
October 10th, 2008 at 10:42 am
Hi Tony,
We’ve opted for a buckle arrangement on the trolley rather than velcro as we find it a far more efficient fastening (especially when the velcro is a bit old and mucky and loses it’s stickability.
We’re posting you a sample strap and buckle in the post tonight to see how you get on with it. Hopefully it won’t be a problem. We don’t have any velcro type ones here, but if the buckle isn’t suitable and you wanted to adapt ours yourself we’d certainly be happy to send spares for you to experiment with. Let us know how you find it?
October 10th, 2008 at 10:00 am
Marjorie,
The bag stays in place really well on a GoKart, without any slewing or twisting. Rock steady, no matter how much very essential stuff you take around with you!
October 10th, 2008 at 9:57 am
We Ladies take lots of stuff on the course in our trolley bags. Unfortunately, they will never sit up straight and are continually sliding over on their sides on the trollies. Does the Go Kart hold the bags in a perfectly straight and upright position?
Also do you have an umbrella holder to fit on the trolley?
Many thanks
October 9th, 2008 at 8:46 pm
I do not yet own a Go Kart so I visited your web site with great interest. But I notice that your cart uses a buckle/clip arrangement at the top for holding the golf bag in place, as I have arthritis problems with my hands I would not be able to release the buckle to remove the bag. If I decide to buy a Go kart could it be supplied with a velcro arrangenment instead of a plastic buckle /clip ?
October 7th, 2008 at 11:07 am
Ling,
Yes the Hillbilly battery fits very nicely on GoKarts. you can order the trolley and a battery fitting kit for just £169 and you’re good to go…
October 6th, 2008 at 7:53 pm
I currently have a hillbilly trolley. Will my battery fit the go kart.
October 6th, 2008 at 2:39 pm
Gary,
We’ll put your suggestion on the list for features to consider for product development. Should be good on getting round those tight dog legs
October 6th, 2008 at 1:43 pm
I am loving my new Gokart, and I am getting some positive comments.
Just a thought on a future design – Have you seen the new Dyson Vacuum Cleaners with the “Ball” for easy turning? Would it be good for a Gokart to have a ball instead of the front wheel??
Great job though guys!!
October 5th, 2008 at 10:39 pm
Well we reckon it’s about time you had a bit of decent karma with golf trolleys. And the good news is that your batteries will be fine on the GoKart. If you have two existing batteries you could order the basic GoKart, no battery or charger (which comes with one battery fitting kit) @ £169, and a second battery fitting kit @ £12. So for £181 you’re all set up for 36 holes whenever you want. Shout if you want any other help.
October 5th, 2008 at 3:43 pm
If the go kart is as good as the web site perhaps I should be in on it!
I made a mistake by buying a Slazenger Trolley 20 months ago (what a crap clutch arrgt and at new service address “obsolete, no spares”.
My spare batteries measure 80x70x75cm wide.12v20ah. will these fit?
September 29th, 2008 at 3:09 pm
Julia,
Yes, you can fit Hedgehogs to the GoKart. We don’t supply them, but you can buy them on the manufacturers’ website (click here). There’s some information on our website that may be of interest – type hedgehog in the search box at the top left of the page.
September 29th, 2008 at 1:50 pm
Can you tell me if it is possible to fit ‘hedgehog’ wheels to your trolleys.
My club will only allow electric trolleys during the winter if they are fitted?
Many thanks,
September 28th, 2008 at 2:05 pm
Snelly,
We’ve never put a stop watch on it, but it’s too fast for Lewis Hamilton. It must be because he hasn’t got one.
September 28th, 2008 at 2:00 pm
just want to say i ave had a go kart for about 5weeks i think they are very fast how fast do they actually go
September 27th, 2008 at 8:41 pm
I took my new pink GoKart out for the first time today, even as a true blonde it was really easy to use and went like a dream. The light weight and small size when folded up are fantastic.

Sorry for repeating my post…
Sorry for repeating my post… (even more sorry for the poor pun!)

September 25th, 2008 at 4:49 pm
Thanks, that sounds great! Top company service and a great attitude towards your customers.
Do you sell an extended Warranty for when the 12 months is up?
Thanks again
Gary.
September 24th, 2008 at 8:00 pm
Gary,
We don’t do extended warranties at the moment. It’s something we may consider for the future if there’s a demand
September 24th, 2008 at 7:23 pm
that’s great thanks, what a top company service and attitude to your customers.
Do you sell an extended warranty for after 12 months is up?
Gary.
September 24th, 2008 at 1:23 pm
Just want to say thanks to Sean for being so polite on the phone when i ordered the blank cover so i can still use my kart when i havent got battery with me. He said he would post 1st class yesterday pm and it was delivered today!
Now i have a nice blue ‘bit’ to clip on for my impromptu rounds on the way home from work…
Marvellous kit, magic customer services – “The best a golfer can get!” :)

Gary,
Yes, you would be eligible (We believe all GoKarts owners are equal)
September 24th, 2008 at 10:52 am
I am also in the process of buying a 4 month old Go Kart off someone, I will contact the seller to change the details over, thanks. Would I be eligible for grip wheels and new front wheel cover etc? Gary.
September 24th, 2008 at 8:09 am
Dave,
No problem, we can transfer ownership/warranty to you. Just telephone (01227 712288), or email with your friends details and well do the rest
September 23rd, 2008 at 9:52 pm
Hi – I am buying one of these off my mate who purchased it in March 2008 (he’s only used it 3 times). I will have the original receipt, so can you transfer ownership/ warranty to me, and will I be able to have updates etc (grip wheels etc)? Thanks, Davy.
September 23rd, 2008 at 8:06 am
Alistair,
1. We don’t specify a maximum weight. The GoKart is designed to carry one full set of golf equipment. So as long as you don’t carry bags of cement, pea shingle or other types of building materials, you will be fine.
2. It does free wheel forwards only. Pulling it backwards doesn’t do any harm but the resistance of the motor creates some drag.
3. There are no new models planned for the near future.
4. The GoKart is generally very rigid. There is no flex in the frame itself, just a small amount of movement due to normal clearances at the folding points.
September 22nd, 2008 at 10:17 pm
Hi,
I’m seriously considering one of these trolleys, think they look fantastic and so compact. Just a couple of questions:
1. What’s the maximum weight of golf bag they can carry?
2. Can the trolley be used in a ‘free-wheel’ mode?
3. Have you any other models in the pipe line?
Also can someone who has one tell me if there is any flex or movement in the frame when you manoeuvre the trolley around? say on 2 wheels when you tip it back for example?
Cheers
Al

I have had my kart for over 18 months and it is superb. I recently had a problem with my kart and the company sorted me out within days keeping me informed all the way. i have never experienced such excellent customer service. This is the first thing I mention to my friends when asked about my kart. As another example of fast response my previous entry was answered within 75 mins at 2203hrs. Quality all the way. Thanks for the great service please keep it going (think I’ve spelt everything correctly this time).
Gareth
PS I have forgotten my battery twice so the black battery top as an accessory would be a great idea.
September 16th, 2008 at 3:31 pm
Had occasion to ask for a replacement piece yesterday [Monday] and , well, GO KART delivered. The piece arrived this morning [Tuesday]. Fantastic after sales service. Same again please GO KART. Keep it up and there will surely be not one single complaint from anyone.
September 16th, 2008 at 12:50 pm
Hello Adam!
Yes, having a blank cover in the back of the car would avoid all those tricky little ‘damn I’ve left my battery at home’ moments. We don’t offer one as an option yet, but it would be straightforward enough to send you one (without wiring, no need for that and it would make it more expensive) if you really think you’re going to continue to forget your battery. I confess I’ve only done it once and kicked myself all the way round. Give us a call and we’ll arrange it, yes?
The 18 and the 36 hole batteries will BOTH fit in the GoKart.
And we don’t actually sell the balls with our logo. Just use them for that one photograph in the brochure. You’ll also find one or two scattered around Scotland Hills Golf Club at Canterbury. Surely wasn’t us.
September 16th, 2008 at 11:35 am
Oh and one last thing (im really sorry im boring you) but the GoKart branded golf ball that is in the brochure pic, are they available anywhere as i think they would be kinda awesome in the sockets like the branded tees?
Fanx! :-)
September 16th, 2008 at 11:34 am
Hi GoKart,
Another post from me as all i think about is playing golf and my new GoKart. Is the 36 hole battery different to 18 hole and requires a different trolley / connection? I picked up instruction booklet again when i got home and it shows to slide it into place – does this mean i cant buy a 36 hole battery now i have my 18 hole one?
Also as a possible ‘idea’, what is it about the battery that makes it the essential part of the trolley assembly? Not to make it electric obviously but for it to stand up etc? Is the the cover clips, or the weight and shape of it? I was only thinking as after speaking to your customer services today, i fancied an impromptu round of golf on the way home from work only to realise my battery is still at home on charge as recommended. Is there anything that can be devised (or even bought like the black battery cover if thats all thats needed) that would allow the kart to be erected and used as a push trolley? This can then be kept in the car along with the kart for these kind of moments – or if you’re daft enough to forget to actually take the battery?
Many thanks,
Adam
September 15th, 2008 at 10:03 pm
Gareth,
Stockpiling!! (the correct speeling according to google) We’re offended that you should even think such a terrible thing. But we’ll overlook it just this time.
Thanks for your golf bag wishlist by the way. I think we’ve got most of it covered already.
September 15th, 2008 at 8:49 pm
A fantastic trolley and superb customer service. I do have to wonder though if you are stock pilling (ignore spelling mistkes) the umbrella holder and new wheels so everyone can get them when you let them loose on us owners? I can’t wait for both items to become available.
I would also like to suggest a few ideas for the new trolley bag
1- Umbrella sleeve on the front
2- A putter sleeve on the front
3- Fully waterproof
4- Cooler pocket for drinks
5- Funky colours not the boring black of other trolley/ bag manufacturers (you know which I mean)
I hope this helps.

Gerard,
We have an office in the Netherlands. The telephone number is 0162 430080. The website is HERE or you can send them an email by clicking HERE
September 15th, 2008 at 6:00 pm
I would like to know if there are any dealers in the Netherlands and if so who they are?
September 15th, 2008 at 2:47 pm
Mick,
Not at the moment, but we’re in the process of making one. It will fit all GoKarts, so existing owners will be able to get it to their trolleys. Here’s a link to an item we posted about it a few weeks ago
September 13th, 2008 at 10:45 pm
Hi,
do you supply a umberella holder?
September 13th, 2008 at 6:03 pm
Michael,
The 20Ah battery will be fine for use with the GoKart. You could order the trolley only, which would come with a fitting kit to convert the battery, or you could order a complete GoKart set – trolley, battery and charger, plus a fitting kit. You would then have two batteries for the trolley. The 33Ah battery is too big I’m afraid.
The new wheels and front wheel revision are not ready yet, but as soon as they are, existing owners are entitled to them free of charge.
September 13th, 2008 at 6:02 pm
David,
Yes, you can fit hedgehogs to the GoKart. Have a look here and here
September 13th, 2008 at 6:00 pm
would ‘hedgehogs’ fit on the wheels as my club is pretty fixed on their use in winter, which is when i would especially like to use the cart.
September 13th, 2008 at 3:04 pm
I have two batteries. Ist is DAXIN HIGH ENERGY from Jin Hua Daxin Power Source Co 6=FM-33 and is 12v33ah and the 2nd LONG WP20-12IE 12v20ah. Will either, preferably both, fit and work with your trolley? If I order now will I get ribbed wheels and redesigned front wheel. I play largely on clay and it seems both would be a good thing?
September 13th, 2008 at 2:40 pm
John,
We can’t recommend a specific make, but all the cart bags we’ve tried (lots) fit the GoKart very well.
September 13th, 2008 at 2:39 pm
Which, in your opinion, is the best trolley bag to fit your gokart?I have recently bought 2 and was impressed by your prompt service and delivery. It is an excellent kart and it has made my golf day far more pleasant. I should have done it years ago.
September 12th, 2008 at 7:35 pm
Tony,
Thank you for complimenting our website (we think it was a compliment – do you mean flashy as in flash animation or flashy as in showing off?).
We use exclusively sealed, steel ball races in the GoKart transmission. There are a total of nine in the main drive unit and another pair in the front wheel. We could have got away with using plain bushes in place of most of these, but proper bearings will last longer and absorb less energy, improving further the already very efficient GoKart drive system.
Which leads on to your query over the size of our battery. After 18 holes, our 18Ah battery will always have loads of power in hand. This is why we can say it’s OK to use for 27 holes.
The revised wheel will be introduced as soon as possible. We don’t have a release date at the moment. We’re doing everything we can to get them finished before the end of the year. Existing owners will be entitled to a pair free of charge.
September 12th, 2008 at 6:59 pm
Very good, if somewhat flashy website! I should like to know more about the wheel bearings on the gokart. Are they plastic or metal roller bearings? 18 hole battery of only 18AH appears a bit ‘lightweight for a 230 watt motor. Saw a golfer today with a gokart who claimed to be using a 27 hole battery. Finally, when do you expect to be offering the new wheels?
Many thanks

Dear Golfer Boy Ally, I think we’re at cross porpoises here.
September 10th, 2008 at 6:39 pm
Hello gokart.co.uk,
I am an experienced golf fanatic and was wondering if it would be possible for me to ride on one of your latest models. If so which one is best for me.
Thanks a bunch,
Ally

Neirinckx,
Thank you for your message. Our Dutch website is here. You can email them here, or you can telephone on 0162 430080
September 10th, 2008 at 10:49 am
can you pleas give us the information about Go Kart in the Netherlands.
August 14th, 2008 at 1:00 pm
Hi Pete,
Hmmmmm…when the battery is very new I’d say yes, not a prob. You’d be wise to pack your bag frugally, and freewheel when you can (which is very possible, I quite often forget to turn the power on and just trundle it anyway).
But when the battery is a bit older, you may find it’s not quite so possible.
And no, noise isn’t a problem at all. There is a mechanical sound but it’s not something that would worry you on the course at all. I can’t think of anything comparable, but will spend the rest of the day with my ears tuned in!
And we’d all like to know what driver you’ve got in your bag please?
August 14th, 2008 at 12:14 pm
Oops, I mean’t 6,300 yds, only one good drive out!!
August 14th, 2008 at 12:12 pm
I am thinking of buying one of your products with the intention of only using it when playing 36 holes or when its very warm (if ever). On a flat course, (5,300 yds) is there any chance of the 18ah battery completing all 36? I have read a few comments about the motor being “noisy”just how noisy is it (anything comparable come to mind?)
Thanks,
Pete
August 12th, 2008 at 1:10 pm
Hi,
I’ve been using my GoKart for about 9 months now – very pleased with it. In fact I think it may have even increased my fitness levels slightly – whether or not this is connected to the number of times I accidentally spin the speed roller round to full speed when replacing my driver in my bag resulting in a desperate sprint down the fairway to catch my trolley before it disappears off into the distance I can’t really say!!.
Any thoughts off adding numbered graduations to the speed roller so that I’ve got a sporting chance of spotting the fact that it’s turned up to 11 before I hit the on switch?
August 12th, 2008 at 12:29 pm
Hi Colin,
In a way I can understand you being concerned, but when you start looking around and seeing just what’s made of plastic these days, it’s rather reassuring. One customer told us the other day that submarines are made of it now…
We’ve been really diligent about the material specs – we can use different ‘mixes’ according to what features are needed in the various trolley bits, strength/flexibility/rigidity…and we’ve had advice from the best in designers and industry specialists. The end result is a trolley that’s strong, durable, light and (if we say so ourselves) rather damned attractive.
But, as with all things GoKartian, we want you to try it yourself. If you buy, we want you to put it through its paces. And if it doesn’t live up to expectations in every way, let us know and we’ll collect it and refund you.
August 11th, 2008 at 9:58 am
Hi, I am considering the GoKart as my next electric trolley, but I would like to know how strong the frame is compared to a steel framed trolley. I don’t think I am particularly rough with a trolley but I always seem to have issues with both pull/push and electric trolleys breaking.
August 9th, 2008 at 10:18 pm
Yes, you could use either battery on each of the trolleys – good idea! If you choose different coloured trolleys, you could have black battery covers so that there isn’t a nasty colour clash situation. The black battery cover looks really smart with all the four highlight colours.
August 9th, 2008 at 7:17 pm
I am thinking of buying 2 gokarts. One each, for my wife and myself. If I order one with a 36 hole battery and 1 with an 18 hole battery, will the batteries be interchangeable?
August 4th, 2008 at 3:09 pm
Yes. What a nice foursomes partner you must be.
August 4th, 2008 at 2:44 pm
Is it possible to fit 2 seats 1 either side?
July 29th, 2008 at 12:34 pm
Hi Ian,
What you’ve got is the current motor – so there isn’t an alternative. We started fitting that one in May, and we’ve found it to perform well – certainly still very powerful and quieter under load.
You may find that the trolley will settle down somewhat with a bit of use. But there will always be a slight mechanical sound – not intrusive on the course, but you will be able to hear it running. The motor is a strong one compared to a lot of others (230W; it’ll get you up anywhere). This is an aspect of the trolley we think is really important, we don’t want you having to slow down your pace to wait for your trolley to catch up…
And as for those power wheelies…don’t let the greens committee catch you. And no donuts please (schoolteacher voice).
July 28th, 2008 at 12:17 am
i can do power wheelies with mine!!!
July 28th, 2008 at 12:14 am
I have just played my first round with my gokart. absolutly fantastic in all areas but a little noisy. do you sell a quieter motor.(i would be willing to lose some power as this beast has plenty to spare) keep up the good work
July 21st, 2008 at 8:56 am
Hi Bill,
No, there’s no control that will keep the speed constant if you’re going uphill or through the rough.
But to avoid having to tweak the speed roller too often, we set it up so that once you’ve set your walking pace, when you stop don’t turn the speed roller down; just flick the on/off switch off. When you’ve played your shot and you want to start moving again, just turn the on/off switch to ‘on’ again. The trolley will smoothly build up to the walking pace you’ve previously set. All very convenient and easy to use.
July 19th, 2008 at 8:24 am
does the go kart have cruise control?
July 18th, 2008 at 7:46 am
Hi Bill,
Yes, all happening…we opened our office in Holland a few weeks ago, and orders from the rest of Europe are handled by them http://www.gokartgolf.com
We’ll be venturing further afield next year. Lots of enthusiasm wherever they see the trolley – if your mates want some more details, ask them to email us or GoKart in Holland and we’ll be happy to help.
July 17th, 2008 at 8:24 pm
Have you any plans to export this trolley. I have shown the website to some people I talk to on the web and they are all in agreement. FANTASTIC bit of kit
July 16th, 2008 at 8:45 pm
Hi Nigel,
We’d put a distance feature on the shopping list for future versions. Maybe a brake too. But we’ve kept it very simple this time around. Something for the future though. We certainly have plans for a range of trolleys.
July 16th, 2008 at 4:21 pm
I love the go-kart but I also would really really like an auto stop function
July 15th, 2008 at 1:18 pm
We have looked at car chargers, but we’re not convinced that they’ll charge the battery effectively. A discharged battery needs a continuous charge to get it fully charged. Most people drive in fits and starts; maybe half an hour to work, half and hour back…the battery would be left discharged a lot of the time. A recipe for an unhappy battery…
July 14th, 2008 at 11:11 pm
Have you considered a car charger? Just so I can leave the trolley in my boot and have it charged and ready to go! Thanks
July 10th, 2008 at 6:19 pm
Yep, we’re all organised and despatching two – three days after receiving orders. Hope to be even faster by the end of next week…all very very busy, but we realise that the British summer has to be savoured and when you order a trolley you probably want it NOW. And we don’t blame you a bit.
July 10th, 2008 at 6:01 pm
hi gokart have you got the parts problem sorted out yet.
July 10th, 2008 at 5:54 pm
Dear Tony,
We promise we won’t disappoint you! You can either order online by visiting the shop page here on the site, or you can call up and speak to a real person on 01227 712288. Most of us are bloody decent, but we have a sprinkling of males too (I wonder how long this post will last before one of the blokes reads it, I can feel a bit of internal moderation coming on…)
July 10th, 2008 at 10:34 am
I have been thinking of replacing my lovely old Hillbilly trolley, its now 13 years old and have had no problems with it apart from relacement culches and batteries.
After reading the What Would You Like to Know section I think I am going to buy one of your trollies because your sound so bloody decent to deal with, I hope I’m not wrong
June 23rd, 2008 at 7:44 pm
230W More pulling power than you believed possible.
June 23rd, 2008 at 4:37 pm
wat is the power of the motor in watts
June 18th, 2008 at 1:10 pm
Hi James
yes we agree that it would be useful to include some photos on the site showing the seat; we’ll get it sorted. In the meantime we’re emailing you a copy of the fitting instructions which show how it all works.
Take a look at this blog subject and you’ll see the work in progress on the brolly holder http://www.gokart.co.uk/blog/gokart-news/gokart-umbrella-holder/
The update idea is something we’d think about for the future, once we’ve been around a bit longer and maybe there are other models involved.

I have looked through the galley and cannot find any photos that show how the seat fits onto the trolley nor the umbrella holder so we can see what the Kart looks like with the accesssories added. Any chance of getting such photos added?
Also have you considered a trade-in service for swapping older Go Karts for the newer ones your tantalising us with. I am really interested in buying a Kart however in referring to newer versions I dont want to spend £££’s and then find it replaced by a newer version a couple of months down the line.
June 13th, 2008 at 6:59 pm
It’s on the wish list for future versions!
June 13th, 2008 at 6:34 pm
hi this is a absolute brill kart would recommend it to anyone but 1 feature that would make it even better if it had a 10 or 20 yard auto stop just to let it run towards the next tee ect.. but still a really great kart well done!!
June 13th, 2008 at 9:56 am
Hi Pete,
Yes at some point in the future. This trolley is (on purpose) very simple. But with future models we like the idea of incorporating all sorts of jiggery-pokery.
June 12th, 2008 at 7:15 am
Hi
Are there any plans to make a remote control trolley in the future
June 4th, 2008 at 11:04 am
Prices are in the shop – but you’re right, they’re not mentioned in the blurb. We’ll add them, thanks! The transit bag is £22, the seat is £19 (both prices include delivery).
And yes, we have a showroom here, so you can come along see the trolley, and usually it’s possible to take one home with you, but give us a call first. Shout if you want directions. 01227 712288

Maybe I missed it maybe I didn’t, but does your website give the prices for the seat and carry bag ?
Seconde as I live in Kent would it be possible for me to collect or do I have to have it delivered.
June 1st, 2008 at 9:35 pm
Dennis,
We don’t have a brake on the trolley – we just wanted to keep the machine as simple as possible in the design stages, and when we tested prototypes the lack of brake really wasn’t a problem, so we opted not to include one.
The GoKart is easy to handle, and downhill it’s not heavy so it doesn’t feel like it’s running away from you – it’s just very easy to control.
But, as with every question about the trolley, the best test is for you to take it out on the course and try it out for yourself. Take us up on the 28 day try-out period after you buy. If your knees don’t like the GoKart then we’ll give your knees a complete refund.
June 1st, 2008 at 8:45 pm
Does the Go Cart have any brake function for going downhill so that you don’thave to pull it back to stop it running away from you? My present trolley doesn’t have a significant brake function and as I have bad knee joints it plays havoc with said joints when trying to stop it from running away downhill.

When you say matching trolleys, are you going to force him to play with a grey and pink one Jill? As much as we love our pink and grey trolleys (they’re very classy) we feel this may not be wise and would suggest maybe a manly blue and black?
Brollly holder is very much in the pipeline, rest assured.
June 1st, 2008 at 4:24 pm
Just wanted to say that I received my new PINK and grey GoKart a few weeks back and I am absolutely thrilled with it! So thrilled that I am trying furiously to convert my husband so that we can play with matching trolleys!! How sad! Anyway, so far I love my new GoKart and hopefully you will have invented the umbrella attachment by the time we need them for the winter. If I was to complain or moan or have any bad thing to say about my new trolley it would be that the motor is a little louder than my husband’s but who cares mine is so much cooler than his!!! Thank you GoKart people!
May 28th, 2008 at 8:27 pm
Hi Andy,
Yes we’re talking about a drinks holder, but as yet a cool bag attachment hasn’t been discussed.
The good news is that we’ll be producing rather a flash golf bag later in the year that’ll have a cool pocket built in (not quite a beer fridge, but it’ll do…)
May 28th, 2008 at 8:00 am
Hi Adrian,
Yes we can supply a European spec charger, no problem. If we’re sending it out to Spain for you it’ll be the new Dutch office that deals wth it. Their contact details are on the blog entry here http://www.gokart.co.uk/blog/gokart-news/gokart-opens-up-shop-in-europe/
May 27th, 2008 at 11:38 pm
Hi Go Kart,
Am thinking of buying you kart for my mother, she lives in Spain, do you supply a European spec charger for your batteries?

Sorry, complete link failed to paste in so here it is :-

I have noticed on your blogs people suggesting that a bag could be fitted between the frame arms of the GoKart to hold drinks etc. and wondering whether you were going to produce one.
I have found that a child’s insulated lunch bag (see ebay item at this link (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=360054148972&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=023) is the perfect size. 5 minutes with a stanley knife and a pair of trolley straps has provided me with a removable insulated cool bag that fits nicely above the bag support arms.
I can provide a photo if anyone is interested.

Bearing in mind that the original brief was that GoKart should be a lean, mean golfing machine, to add a fridge at this point might be seen as something of a U turn. But if we promise we’ll think about it, will you believe us?
We haven’t considered how we’re going to deal with the Bahrain market yet, Ace. So far we’ve concentrated on the UK and moving out into the rest of Europe this year. We’re always open to ideas though!
May 20th, 2008 at 8:22 pm
As you’ve already answered my questions about batteries, chargers, and holders, can you please advise me of the extra power required to transport an additional 2 Kg of “phew I needed that canistors” and associated cooling hardware?
Many thanks in anticipation . . .
B T W are you looking for an agent overseas?

The GoKart makes a slight mechanical noise. It’s not completely silent like some trolleys. The reason for this is our very powerful 230W motor. We purposely specified a motor that’ll cope with absolutely anything you’ll encounter on a golf course; you won’t have to help it up hills or slow down your walking pace in any situation when you’re playing. We figure this is important, and the trade off in the slight amount of noise is worth it. It’s certainly not intrusive.
May 20th, 2008 at 6:34 pm
How do the noise levels compare with other brands?

Finally got round to writing and telling you how delighted I am with my PINK GoKart, first one in Belgium, I believe, in fact may be first one sold this year according to your stats (although year not finished!). My home course is quite flat, but I have tested on more challenging hills and dales which exist here, absoloutely no problem, I can well recommend your product, which I do regularly when playing different courses.

Dear John,
The dimensions of our battery are 181 x 76 x 167 mm (LxWxH). It’s a conventional golf trolley battery, and replacements are readily available from us and many other battery suppliers.
As you’ve seen, the battery sits inside a moulded cradle, which then clips into the GoKart. We designed the cradle so that batteries other than ours will fit if they’re the right size.
Our replacement batteries are supplied complete with the cradle, and cost £42 including next working day delivery. If you bought a battery from another supplier the cradle from your old battery can easily be transferred.
We refer to a ‘battery fitting kit’ in our webshop – this is to convert an existing battery to fit the GoKart; it’s just the cradle, the wiring and connectors.
May 13th, 2008 at 8:49 pm
What are the battery dimensions and do I have to purchase a special battery from you. I see it has a special cradle, is this interchangeable. I am looking for a new trolley, what price replacement batteries?????
May 13th, 2008 at 7:45 pm
John,
You’ll be pleased to know that we supplied a society with GoKarts for the day recently and several were using Skycaddies – their brackets fitted to the GoKart fine. So that’s an easy one … yes.
May 13th, 2008 at 7:11 pm
Is there anywhere on the GoKart that a Skycaddie SG5 cart mount could be affixed?
Item is here http://www.skygolfgps.com/p-375-sg5-temporary-cart-mount.aspx
May 10th, 2008 at 10:08 pm
Dear Robert,
We don’t specify a maximum weight for the seat. It’s been tested by someone who was 22 stones and was fine. Our policy on all our products, including the seat, is that if a customer buys something and it turns out to be unsuitable for them, we’ll take it back and give a full refund. Our middle name is No Quibble.
May 10th, 2008 at 10:01 pm
Hi, What is the maximum weight the seat will take?
May 10th, 2008 at 10:00 pm
Dear Robert,
The GoKart is fine with all shapes and sizes of golf bags, including stand bags. Sometimes the stand mechanism gets in the way which means the bag can restrict your options with it’s position on the trolley, but this is true with all trolleys and it’s never a real problem. The type of bag doesn’t effect the way the GoKart runs.
May 6th, 2008 at 8:58 pm
Hi, I am thinking about buying a GoKart and i wanted to know whether a stand/carry bag would stay on the trolley and would still run efficiently ?
Thanks
Ron
April 24th, 2008 at 9:40 pm
Hi Terry,
The trolley is completely waterproof, so is safe and it’s performance unaffected even in the worst of downpours. No chance of any rust either.
April 21st, 2008 at 8:31 pm
Hi, I am thinking of purchasing the Gokart, can you tell me if the battery and connectors when fitted is waterproof.
Thanks
Terry Ainscough
April 16th, 2008 at 1:25 pm
I use the Nike sasquatch tour bag on my Gokart, for me its a match made in heaven!!!
April 10th, 2008 at 2:20 pm
In answer to Ray’s question about the brolley holder (which we confess slipped through the net and should have been answered before now…)
Universal brolley holders won’t fit the GoKart because they’re all designed for the more usual tubular frames.
Yes, the plan is to make one ourselves this year but we can’t put a date on it.
We will of course let everyone know when it’s available (you’ll also be able to tell because sods law it’ll stop raining completely the moment we do. Headlines in the Telegraph; “GoKart umbrella holder causes Global warming…”)
April 9th, 2008 at 7:29 pm
Dave M’s question isn’t as mad as it first appears. Yelverton Golf Club just north of Plymouth insists on ‘knobbly’ tyres on all trolleys. Can you get them to fit the GoKart wheels?
April 9th, 2008 at 7:26 pm
HI there, Took delivery of my new GoKart and have completed 18 holes on my local course in blackpool and I am pleased to say the trolley really is the Dogs Bollocks I am delighted with it. Can you send me two GoKart stickers which I will stick over the powacaddy name on my golf bag. I would much rather be advertising your superior product. All the best your trolley really is a winner .
April 9th, 2008 at 4:36 pm
We’re sure there’s a RSPCH, in which case we’re really really hoping they don’t read this site…
April 9th, 2008 at 4:35 pm
From Dave M;
I read with interest about the use of hedgehogs on the
wheels. Apart from hunting the little blighters down and suffering
the fleas I managed to tie them onto the wheels. However, although
they improved traction on the hillsides for a short while, they
gradually became less efficient as they tended to flatten out and got
very messy and did not smell too good either.
May be I am on the wrong track. If you have come up with a more
efficient idea like snow chains for car tyres I would like to hear
about it i.e.winter tyres?
April 8th, 2008 at 11:05 pm
hi will universal brolly holders fit on the go -kart , or do you have any idea when you will be selling the one your doing for it. thanks
April 8th, 2008 at 10:29 pm
Tim,
Re; Tour bags on the GoKart. Yes they fit securely, and the trolley with cope with the weight fine. Depending on design you may have to position it differently though. Because there’s a fair amount of clearance between the bag rests and the frame, there’s a decent amount of room so that the underneath pockets should still be accessible. But as always, if you buy a GoKart and it’s not right we’ll refund you and get it collected.
How about we ask what owners are out there already using Tour bags?
April 8th, 2008 at 6:02 pm
Dear Frederick,
The GoKart is very stable with its current wheelbase (580mm), so there are no plans to change that at the moment.
And our chargers are also three stage, so yes the same procedure; just leave the battery on charge all the time you’re not using the trolley. Can’t overcharge and uses only tiny amounts of electricity. click here for a link to the technical page
April 8th, 2008 at 3:53 pm
Do you propose to make a wider wheelbae? Something like70cm
My current trolley w/b is about 56cm, and will fall over when parking on the course banks. I can’t see the dimensions for your w/base
Are your battery chargers the three stage type? I leave my current batteries on charge all the time when not in use
April 7th, 2008 at 7:04 pm
Does the GoKart comfortably fit a tour bag on, or does it have to be put sideways so that it is securely on?
April 7th, 2008 at 12:22 pm
Yes the trolley will freewheel forward, so that you can easily trundle it in front of you if there is a problem. Whatever you do though, don’t forget to take the battery with you, as it’s needed to ‘lock’ the frame in place, and without it the trolley doesn’t stay upright.
April 6th, 2008 at 1:23 pm
Hi I have just placed an order for your gocart and would like to know if the tolley can still be used if the battery goes flat during a round of golf, is it possible to complete the round by pushing the trolley thankyou
March 30th, 2008 at 10:17 pm
Mark,
The transit bag is £22 inc delivery and is available on the shop page.
If you mean a trolley bag, we haven’t got one yet (but it’s on our shopping list). A lot of people ask about the cart bags we use in the ads. They’re really nice and are made by gogolf (no relative). If you drop us a line we’ll let you know where we found them.
March 30th, 2008 at 10:11 pm
Mary,
We’ve plans for a brolly holder this year. Though you know as soon as we make one it’ll stop raining and there’ll be hosepipe bans everywhere…
We’ll let everyone know when it’s available.
March 30th, 2008 at 9:35 pm
Hi please could you tell me how much the bag is for the gocart
cheers mark
March 29th, 2008 at 12:52 am
Have you any plans to make an umbrella holder that will fit on the GoKart?
