How to use other batteries with a GoKart
Jul 23 2009 Posted in GoKart News, Latest News by GoKartWe’ve always made a big do about how you can use other makes of battery with a GoKart. Lots of people have golf trolley batteries kicking around the garage, and it’s far better to use it on a trolley than as a door stop. Whether you buy a GoKart without our battery, or get a complete GoKart set and use your old battery alongside ours, it doesn’t matter. It means a big heavy lump of the Earth’s innards doesn’t get wasted.
Not all golf trolley batteries will work with the GoKart, but two of the most popular sizes will, so we’ve put a page on our site to help you see if yours is any good. Click here for all the info, but if you need more help just shout.

Jun 10 2009 Posted in GoKart News, Latest News by GoKart…in fact they can earn you money!
We’ve just launched a whizzer of a scheme in which all GoKart owners are invited to take part. With our usual subtlety, it’s dubbed “The GoKart Breeding Programme”. It’s nothing to do with inappropriate behaviour between inanimate objects (there’s plenty of websites catering for that sort of thing), it’s an incentive scheme to reward GoKart owners who recommend us to others.
It’s dead simple to take part; you just make sure anyone you know that buys a GoKart has your name and postcode handy when they place their order. In return we give £5 credits to both you and the new owner. You can accumulate these and use them as full or part payment when buying stuff from us – batteries, accessories or even another trolley if you really get about.
To make it even easier we’ve produced handy little cards for you hand out. They explain the scheme and there’s space for you to write your details. To order these, and for more information please click here

Jul 01 2008 Posted in GoKart News, Latest News by GoKartA quick reminder about fitting the battery into your GoKart. It’s a feature of the GoKart’s design; the battery becomes part of the frame and it’s one of the things that makes the GoKart so quick and easy to use. But you can’t drop the battery in any-old-how – it’s important that it’s really in place.
The way to check is by looking at the side flaps on the battery case when they’re positioned on the trolley. If you don’t make sure the locking flaps are clipped under the frame, your GoKart will be a bit like the England football team; hit and miss.
If the battery doesn’t drop in far enough for the flaps to easily clip under immediately, please don’t try the brute force method; just lift the battery slightly and wriggle it a bit.
Along with forgetting to put the battery back on charge ASAP, this is really the only thing you can get wrong.

What would you like to know?
Mar 27 2008 Posted in Customer comment, Euro, Latest News by GoKartNo not about the Meaning of Life, is there any point in Mah Jong or where to find semolina in Sainsburys – but what more information would you like us to give you when you’re deciding whether to buy?
What could we add to the website to make it more useful?
We want to make it as easy as possible for you to find out everything that’s important to you, as fast and simply as we can. So we’re asking for experts to help us … you!
