Electric trolley tax.

We’re very worried about the latest news from the Cameron camp about trolley taxation. All electric powered devices ‘driven with a purpose’ will require a tax disc.  So we have to design a tax disc holder and GoKart owners will have to fork out.  We’re starting a petition here to oppose the proposal. We have three months to raise a groundswell against it and we’re confident that we can get enough support to stop the Bill from happening.  Please do post a comment here to join the petition.

  1. Hold the front page! I’ve spotted a loophole we could exploit here. The ‘driven with a purpose’ requirement exempts all GoKarts from this draconian tax (because as we all know, golfers meander aimlessly lacking any purpose whatsoever). What’s more, the addition of a Pasty Chiller accessory will also allow the avoidance of VAT.

Everyone’s a winner. I commend this idea to the House.

  2. Absolute nonsense are they going to maintain the courses with he revenue raised but they dont maintain the roads anyway just another form of government theft

  3. The three months is nearly up so what progress on your petition? Anyway, I have some good news for you. Any electric vehicle that cannot travel faster than 15mph will not require a tax disc. Currently, only world class sprinters are likely to require a golf trolley that goes that fast.
