Update on the GoKart Wheels
Jan 25 2009 Posted in GoKart News by GoKartJust a bit of advance warning – if you already have a GoKart with the original smooth tyres, from 16th February 2009 we’ll start to make a charge if you want to change to the new treaded wheels (standard on all new GoKarts). Still a snip at £23 inc p&p for owners with UK addresses.

Hi Anne,
No the front wheel is not treaded. The tread is there to give better traction when the ground gets slippery. Therefore it’s only the driving wheels that need the tread. The front wheel doesn’t drive and doesn’t need to grip the ground.

Might be a dim question, but your picture for treaded wheels shows only 2. Can I assume the front wheel is also treaded?

Love my Go Kart, can’t wait for the new wheels to arrive, Just wondered why you dont have a union jack on the trolley to promote it, Buying British was one of the reasons that swayed me to the Go Kart in the first place. maybe some after market stickers for the wheels or something …

New wheels are briliant and the new front wheel fitting is great. Easy to fit and quite comprehensive instructions. But just remember to put the front wheel back on in the right direction. I put mine on the wrong way round and was amazed to see my Gokart only worked in reverse. Strange but true – you might think.

Wow, awesome wheels. So simple in design but so very effective. I even found my self going through the biggest mud puddles to test them and they sailed through no problems. Excellent. Just need the umbrella holder now.

Mine arrived last week,
i thought they didn’t look that grippy, but i should know better than to doubt Go Kart. Really really grippy!
massive difference and a lot nicer to the fairways too.
ps Mud gaurd is real improvement and easy to fit. Keep it up!
